October 2005 Accomplishments

Prepared and submitted Management Report from DMA Conference.
Prepared and sumitted quotation for APE for Universal Tobacco (formerly Union Leaf Tobacco).
Prepared and sumitted quotation for Pre-Employment Physical Exams for Fiesta Casino (Thunderbird).
Prepared and sumitted quotation for APE for National Police Commission Region I.
Guest Speaker at Rotary Club of San Fernando City, La Union, Inc. and presented Lorma Medical Center.
Arranged meeting with CT Scan staff, Dr. Jerome Gaerlan, Dr. Raymond Espinosa and Mr. Robert Kaiser to identify causes of decrease CT Scan census.
It was decided that to promote the CT Scan, the following would be done: 1) it would be advertised as a level 3 Stroke Center; 2) promote the CT Scan's ability to perform digital subtraction angiography (DSA); 3) arrange conferences, locally and as a road show, to present MRI and its various capabilities; 4) promote importance of mammography.
It was also agreed upon that ICU Nurses who attended the recent Stroke Seminar convey knowledge learned to other ICU Nurses who may not have been able to attend. Also, Dr. Espinosa volunteered to do seminars on ways to increase ICU skills.
New Mobile Xray has broken down 2 out of the 2 times we tried to use it for Onsite Corporate Services.
Directed Pastor John to create powerpoint presentation for commemoration of Dr. Crispina L. Macagba's birthday anniversary.
Began drafting Thank You cards.
Began re-design of Lorma Patient Handbook.
Received delegates from Nueva Ecija hospital who are interested in also joining GSIS GHSP and who visited Lorma to ask questions about the program.
Distributed email correspondences as received through LMC's email.
Arranged for a visit to National Police Commission to present GSIS GHSP program.
Secured China Bank annual physical exam.
Performed APE for SMC in Baguio.
Performed APE for Coca Cola San Fernando, La Union.
Reconstructed Lorma Medical Center website due to a breakdown of structure; could be caused by virus.
Finalized design of Lorma t-shirts.

For Ilocos Scanning and Imaging Center

• Arranged for lights to be installed on new signage.
• Arranged for X-ray to be setup along with testing.
• Submitted Update to Board of Directors dated October 4, 2005.
• Met with CEO of Sacred Heart to request signing of MOA for use of their emergency facilities in order to receive DOH accreditation and in turn, qualify for PhilHealth National Insurance.
• Arranged for two (2) radiologists to meet with ISIC BOD for interview and to possibly hold office at ISIC-Urdaneta. Referred to ISIC by Dr. Jerome Gaerlan. Requested Bio Datas, received and transmitted to ISIC BOD for review prior to interview.
• Dr. Exiomo and Dr. Aquino are now new radiologists at ISIC Urdaneta.
• Prepared MOA for working relationship with Sacred Heart Hospital as needed for DOH accreditation. Approved by Mr. Kaiser and forwarded to ISIC President Dr. Raymund Espinosa for review, approval and signature.
